Shi Kon Spring Tournament 2016

SHI KON TOURNAMENT IMPORTANT INFORMATION

**PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE FOLLOWING:
Location: Chatham Grammar School for Girls, Rainham Road, Chatham, Kent ME5 7EH
Date: 21ST May 2016
Time: 10am – registration (please arrive on time) – 10.30am start
There are several car parks on site – IMPORTANT: site speed limit strictly 5mph
On arrival make your way to the main Sports Hall for registration.

PLEASE STAY IN THE TOURNAMENT AND RELATED AREAS. THE REST OF THE SCHOOL IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

Each competitor will be required to perform one Shi Kon form of their choice, and one form created by the competitor (free style). Shi Kon forms will be judged on technical skill, taking into account the competitors age and belt. The freestyle form will also gain points for the technical skill of the performance whilst also taking into account dynamism and originality.

FACILITIES:
There will be a tea/coffee & food & drink stall on site where you can purchase refreshments.
We have a cake and face painting stall – all proceeds will be going towards the club to help purchase new equipment. You will be able to purchase Shi Kon T shirts, suits, boxing gloves and other Shi Kon merchandise at the venue – proceeds of which all go to help your club! (cash or cheque only, we have no card facilities)

PHOTOGRAPHER – Dominic Thurman will be covering the event!
Every child will be photographed during the event. You will have the opportunity to download your professional photographs of your child online via the Shi Kon Facebook page or please contact Dominic direct. We would like every child to have their photo taken in the studio for our club photographs. Please take your child to the photographer as soon as they have received their medal and then return to the area your child was seated at until all competitors have finished.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE:
An adult must accompany all children under 18
Site Speed limit 5mph
No smoking is permitted on the school site – this includes the outside grounds
No pets are permitted on site
Please stay in the tournament and related areas: the rest of the school is closed to the public.
Videoing and photography IS permitted, and may be used for promotional material
Please walk around the matted areas and not across them – no shoes are permitted on the mats
Please take your child to the photographer as soon as they have received their medal and back to the competition area after the photograph is done.
Martial Arts suits and belts to be worm by all competitors
